Sara Gwendolen Frostic, was an American artist, entrepreneur, author, and Michigan Women’s Hall of Fame inductee. Frostic is known for her naturalist, linocut block print artwork, created using original Heidelberg Platten presses.
Stricken with polio at an early age, Frostic become one of Americas foremost nature inspired artists. Gwen survived and overcame the doctors prognosis that she would never walk, talk, or write again.
